I just wanted to introduce myself and my blog to all those who are finding Penny Pinch Plugs through the Blog Party 2009 links. HI! I'm Jessica, a (almost-gah!) 28 year old stay at home mom to a gorgeous (almost-yikes!) 3 year old little girl named Zoey. We are a one income family and I've been trying to save us money since before the economy took a turn for the worse. I love to plan parties and doing it on a budget is more fun because you get to be more creative with the whole experience. I am currently planning my daughter's 3rd birthday and plan to post blogs about how I am cutting corners on what will be a massive shin-dig for cents on the dollar!

I started posting blogs about money savers in my personal blogs because I wanted to share all the info I was seeing online through websites, blogs and e-mails. But I thought, why not try to spread the savings further by branching out in a blog that could help everyone. That's where Penny Pinch Plugs was started. Originally a community on LiveJournal, I also mirror post all the savings lists here on Blogger. I collect savings information for a few hours a day and usually in one post per day I'll put up the big list of everything I've found. I am still new to blogging about savings but I'm already getting more organized and I am working on my own graphics.

We did a big grocery run today, and I just had to brag that we saved over $30 simply using coupons! And this doesn't count all the cash we saved using Walmart's price comparison deal. We were quite pleased with all our savings. It takes extra time to cut coupons and search for deals in all the grocery store ads but it adds up in the long run where your pocketbook is concerned! In celebration of my coupon savings here is a crap ton of coupons!! (Also because I had no new freebie deals to write about! =)

Attention: Today (3/9/9) is the last day to use your FREE Roastburger coupons with any drink purchase at Arbys! Go HERE to print it! We went today (Mar 8th) for the "I want to change my burger" deal (basically the same thing just w/o the coupon). It was GREAT! We all got the Bacon and Cheddar Roastburger w/their garlicy ranch sauce. Sooooo yummy! For $10 we got 3 roastburgers, 3 shakes, 1 soda and 1 large curly fry. Not too shabby for a family of 3! You can get the same deal with the coupon through tomorrow, just print one for each person!

So while watching TV I see this Kashi commercial that told me to go to their website for free frozen entrées. I headed over and "Darn." they ran out of free coupon's but they are still handing out $2 off coupon's HERE.

So we drove out of town today to do some shopping (went to look at the Circut City final weekend and they had NOTHING) and I took along my print-out for my free Victoria's Secret bag I blogged about previously. Went in and got my $20 bag for free! It was awesome! Here's the bag::

We also few a couple of GREAT deals at Hastings. A $30 Deftones CD for $3, a $25 Breeders single for $3, a Donnas CD+DVD for $6 and Twilight - New Moon (paperpack) for $5.99 -- all used. Also, Zoey got a cute little $10 tin Bratz "purse" for $2.25 and we found a $24 Spiderwick Chronicals game for $5.24 -- clearanced. The deal of the day was a Nautical Archeology book MSRP $40 clearanced down to $4!!

UPDATE!:: On my first Penny Pinch Plugs blog, I mentioned that on March 8th you could go into a Arby's and simply say "I want to change my burger" to get a free burger, however there is official promotion on this now and my information was slightly off. You say that and pay for a drink to get the free burger, basically like the coupon but no need to print anything and according to their promo, no limit!(?) Details HERE!
